Thinking of a RIB, think Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer and Ribtec. For fun and exhilaration as well as for family use with safety features paramount, Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer and Ribtec is the only choice.

Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer and Ribtec boats are fast enough to race and beautiful to ski behind. Options are almost limitless and quality amongst the best in the boating business.

A Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer and Ribtec is the perfect family, fun or serious boat. Ideal for swimming, fishing, beach-hopping, exploring or just picnicking. Or, if you are more adventurous and have the experience, speed over to the Continent.

Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer and Ribtec boats are not limited by our choppy seas. In fact, when conventional speedboats are confined to harbour, Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourers come into their own. They thrive on waves. With the Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer Playtime, you'll feel safe that the same hull design was first used by the RNLI.

There are RIBs and there is Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer.

It's not only design that differentiates Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer from the also rans. Unlike most other RIB manufacturers Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer build their boats from beginning to end. The glass fibre is laid up, the hulls constructed, the tubes made and fitted, even the upholstery is manufactured under the one roof. By manufacturing everything on one site, quality control can be assured.

Although each boat is made from high tech materials, every Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer is built by hand. Like anything craftsman-built there is a pride in the product, which results in a fanatical attention to detail.

From the top of the range Sports to the most basic inflatable, the same diligence and care is applied to the build.

The end result is a RIB that's in a class of its own. And that's world class.

Mission Statement: Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer is committed to the continual improvement of our people, products and procedures such that the quality of service we provide exceeds the expectations of our customers and sustains profitable growth.

In 2001 Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer established new manufacturing facilities in South Africa and all production of the newly designed Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer / Yamaha leisure range has been transferred to Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer South Africa. This has made available to the European and World market a highly comprehensive range of quality built production RIBs at prices not previously achievable. This 2002 range was released successfully at the Southampton International Boat Show in September 2001.

The 2002 Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer range has been put together with the total co-operation of Yamaha and is available exclusively through the Yamaha UK and European Dealership Network.

The moulded decks of the new range have been redesigned to accept the new patented deck "rail system" which allows deck equipment available from Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer to be fitted very simply. This has a tremendous advantage over other product ranges because it enables weight distribution to be altered so easily, which is essential to achieve optimum boat handling and performance. This option is of tremendous importance given the huge choice of engines and their difference in weights. The rail system also enables a great versatility in styling options. Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer has a very comprehensive range of seating and consoles to choose from. For instance, sunbathing cushions can be simply installed adding to the boats Mediterranean look.

In September 2001 Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer acquired Ribtec Ltd with the result that the highest performing sectors of each company will now be developed beyond recognition.

With its renowned design and development facility, Ribtec will now become the design centre for the Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer Group and will manufacture custom-built models for both companies. This will encompass the larger leisure products and inboard diesels, in addition to its excellent range of super yacht tenders and commercial craft. It is this specialist area of the market where the Ribtec branding is strongest. Ribtec are now in a position to concentrate fully on these niche sectors.

Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer's branding and marketing, which are now becoming recognised world-wide, coupled with Ribtec's design and manufacturing reputation needs only one more ingredient to guarantee world-wide success. That ingredient is already there - Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer's unique association with Yamaha. Yamaha, the world's leading manufacturer of outboard and stern drive engines, has collaborated closely with Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer in the production of the 2002 range. "Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer and Ribtec, powered by Yamaha - what a team," agrees David Pougher, Manager of Yamaha Marine UK Ltd.

Yamaha's range of engines and Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer's range of boats make an unbeatable pairing so when it comes to having fun, its serious fun.
Why choose a Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer?
The answer lies in the hull.

The hulls of most other large volume producers are inadequate for demanding sea conditions. Because Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer's hulls were designed to cope with the UK's choppy seas, their handling capabilities are superb.

Many other makes have shallow or medium Vs and tend to be "sunbathing boats". With Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer's new manufacturing facilities you have available to you performing RIBs at prices that can compete with other brands anywhere in the world.

The best of both worlds!

Happy customers with Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer and Ribtec

"Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer was our first choice following demonstrator sea trials and we were very impressed. Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer have done everything we wanted and delivered accordingly. Engine choice was governed by environmental and economic factors, hence our selection of Yamaha four stroke 50hp as it is a proven frugal unit. We are looking forward to taking delivery of our second Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer in April 2002,"
Captain Simon Dowden MN, Harbour Master, Dartmouth Harbour & Navigation Authority.

"We chose Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer because we wanted good looking, high performance boats. Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer has a proven track record for reliability and high quality. What particularly made up our mind was the rail system on the 2002 models. In Charter work it is a terrific benefit to be able to move and change the seating arrangements depending on passenger numbers and the client's requirements. We have chosen Yamaha four strokes because of their superb fuel efficiency and quiet operation. We think we have a brilliant combination,"
Ben Davies, The Island Club Ltd.

Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer's factory in South Africa has been making inflatable boats for many years. Because of the reliable and skilled workforce the factory has built up a reputation for quality products second to none.

Products

Inflatables

These products have a sound reputation for withstanding the arduous life an inflatable undergoes.

Taking advantage of traditional methods Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer inflatables are handmade using varnished marine ply of the highest quality, as opposed to degradable plastic.

All tubes seams are meticulously hand glued, as glued seams are proven to be more long lasting than welded seams. Our factory in South Africa has been using the gluing method for many years and their products have a track record for reliability and longevity. An Inflatable from Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer will guarantee you many years of trouble free use.

Available Sizes: 2.60m, 3.10m, 3.60m

Tenders

A Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer Tender is the ideal choice for getting to and from a bigger boat. Or as a small fun boat for river and beach. It's also the perfect craft for novices and children to learn the ropes.

The Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer Tender has a rigid hull and is suitable for suspending from davits off the transom of a yacht or may be easily transported on the roof rack of a car or lashed to the deck of a larger boat.

They offer the advantage of a more comfortable ride as well as being more robust than an inflatable tender.

Available Sizes: 2.90m and 3.30m

Wavecross

This range of models are real RIBs with deep 'V' hulls so that handling and manoeuvrability are superb. Put a bigger engine on the Wavecross and it can be driven on the edge. Teenagers love it !

Whatever you want your Wavecross for depends on the engine and for advice on that you can depend on your Yamaha dealer.

As with all Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer RIBs, the Wavecross range has the patented rail system which allows deck equipment (consoles, seats, etc.) to be installed and moved without having to drill holes in the deck. The system comprises two flush fitting aluminium rails running the full length of the deck onto which accessories are attached. This enables weight distribution to be altered easily which is essential to achieve optimum boat handling and performance. This option is also very important given the huge choice in engines and their different weights.

The Wavecross is fitted with a splashwell. This helps prevent swamping when the RIB is moored or from a following sea.

Available Sizes: 3.60m, 4.00m and 4.50m

Playtime

These Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourers have "fun" written all over them. Ideal for swimming, snorkelling, skiing, fishing, beach hopping, exploring or just picnicking. They are a real family favourite for every occasion.

These 4x4s of the seas are made for our waters as they are not limited by choppy seas. In fact, when conventional speedboats are confined to harbour, the Playtime comes into its own.

It thrives on waves, but not at the expense of the passengers. The integral deck is moulded with a tough easy to clean, slip-resistant finish. The Playtime range has a genuine deep 'V' load carrying hull, designed to cut through and cushion the impact of the waves, giving a smooth comfortable ride. Like all Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourers the Playtime has terrific agility and manoeuvrability with exciting full throttle performance.

Three standard models are available but there are many accessories and seating and console options. As with all Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer RIBs, the Playtime range has the patented rail system which allows deck equipment (consoles, seats, etc.) to be installed and moved without having to drill holes in the deck. The system comprises two flush fitting aluminium rails running the full length of the deck onto which accessories are attached. This enables weight distribution to be altered easily which is essential to achieve optimum boat handling and performance. This option is also very important given the huge choice in engines and their different weights.

All Playtimes are fitted with a splashwell. This higher freeboard helps prevent swamping when the RIB is moored or from a following sea.

As for the engine, with Yamaha the choice is yours. Twin engine options are possible with the Playtime range.

Available Sizes: 5.00m, 5.50m and 6.00m

Sports

The Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer Sports are pure thoroughbreds.

The design of the 650 and 750 has evolved from the arduous environment of RIB racing. This monocoque hull has proved itself time and again winning many races, including the prestigious Around Scotland event. In 2001 the hull won the manufacturer's prize in the highly competitive Rib Championship in Greece.

The 2002 models have been redesigned with a broader beam. This extra room gives a dimension of spaciousness and increases passenger comfort and stowage capacity.

This deep 'V' hull is bonded to the moulded, slip-resistant deck forming a true monocoque construction.

Both these boats also have moulded spray deflectors that give dynamic lift at high speed and a unique planing wedge which creates better lateral stability, enhanced turning and precise tracking.

The 650 and 750 are fitted with a splashwell. This higher freeboard prevents swamping when the RIB is moored or from a following sea. It incorporates a large locker area and creates a mounting point for integrally designed extras such as the 'A' frame.

The Sports is also the ideal RIB for long distance trips. These high performance RIBs are totally suitable for family use. Their high performance hulls demand high performance engines. The stunningly fast Yamaha HPDI or the high powered F225 fourstroke are the natural choice.

Twin engine options are possible with the Sports 650 & 750.

As with all Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer RIBs, the Sports range has the patented rail system which allows deck equipment (consoles, seats, etc.) to be installed and moved without having to drill holes in the deck. The system comprises two flush fitting aluminium rails running the full length of the deck onto which accessories are attached. This enables weight distribution to be altered easily which is essential to achieve optimum boat handling and performance. This option is also very important given the huge choice in engines and their different weights.

Available Sizes: 6.60m and 7.65m

Sports 800

The hull of the high performance Sports 800 was designed by Ocke Mannerfelt, a pioneer in the field of hull design, and features twin transverse steps. The steps reduce drag at planing speeds so that the boat goes faster and more smoothly whilst increasing both ride control and fuel efficiency.

The tube is of a tapered design, reducing diameter in the bow. This in turn lowers the aerodynamic lift generated forward, resulting in a soft, stable ride.

The Sports 800 delivers exhilarating performance and, coupled with its most stylish looks, is a truly thrilling ride.

Available Size: 8.00m

Accessories

Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer offers a complete range of accessories that allows you to upgrade your console or fit out additional seating, 'A' frames, overall boat covers, etc., to suit your individual requirements. If alternative seating or console options are chosen, the final price of your Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer will change accordingly.

The moulded decks of the Ribeye Cosbos Cabin RIB Grand Tourer range incorporate a patented rail system which allows deck equipment (consoles, seats, etc.) to be installed and moved forward or backward without having to drill holes into the deck. The system comprises two aluminium rails flush fitting and running the full length of the deck on to which accessories are attached. This enables weight distribution to be altered easily which is essential to achieve optimum boat handling and performance. This option is important given the huge choice in engines and the difference in the engine weights.
